GOD'S WORD CAN BE TRUSTED

DURING THE WEEK OF CREATION, GOD SAID...

In Genesis Chapter One, there are ten verses that tell us how God spoke the Universe, and all that is in it, into existance (Gen. 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, 28, 29)!  The way the text is worded, it is clear that God gave "the orders to create" to someone, or better yet, to Someone Who is identified in the New Testament as "the Word," the very "Son of God!"  Thanks be to God!

JESUS, AS THE WORD OF GOD, IS THE CREATOR

John 1:1-3 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made."
Colossians 1:16-17 - "For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:  and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."
Hebrews 1:1-2 - "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds."

JESUS CREATED A WORLD KNOWING THE COST

John 1:29 - "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, Who taketh away the sin of the world."
John 3:14 - "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up."
John 12:32-33 - "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.  This He said, signifying what death He should die."
1 Corinthians 5:7 - "...Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us."

JESUS KNEW THE GRAVE COULD NOT HOLD HIM

Psalm 16:9-10 - "Therefore My heart is glad, and My glory rejoiceth:  My flesh also shall rest in hope.  For Thou wilt not leave My soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
Acts 2:31-32 - "He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption.  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses."
Revelation 5:12-13 - "...Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.  And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever."

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN TO US?

Romans 10:8-13 - "The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
