ARE YOU MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, OR ARE YOU STILL IN THE IMAGE OF ADAM?

ADAM WAS CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE!

Genesis 1:26-27; 2:16-17 - And God said, Let Us make man (mankind) in Our image, after Our likeness:  and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.  So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him (them); male and female created He them . . . . And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it:  for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.*

*  Adam died spiritually - see Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1.

ALL OF ADAM'S OFFSPRING ARE BEGOTTEN IN ADAM'S IMAGE!

Genesis 5:3 - And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.

JESUS WAS BEGOTTEN IN HIS FATHER'S IMAGE!

John 3:16, 18 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life . . . . He that believes in Him is not condemned:  but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

Hebrews 1:1-3 - God, who at sundry (different) times and in divers manners (various ways) spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on (at) the right hand of the Majesty on high.

ALL OF ADAM'S OFFSPRING ARE SINNERS!

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that (because) all have sinned.

JESUS, GOD'S OFFSPRING, NEVER SINNED!

Hebrews 4:14-15 - Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, Who is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession (of faith in Him).  For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but (One Who) was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

ONLY THE SINLESS SON OF GOD COULD DIE IN OUR PLACE!

Romans 6:23 - For the wages (the just payment due) of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through (faith in) Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel* which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved . . . For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures....

* The only message from God that has the power to save the lost - Romans 1:16.

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by (plead with you through) us:  we pray you (beg you) in Christ's stead, be reconciled to God.  For He has made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God (by faith) in Him.
