BELIEVERS LOOK UP FOR OUR REDEEMER IS COMING FOR US!
Luke 21:28 - And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.
John 14:1-3, 6 - Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I AM, there you may be also . . . . I AM the Way, I AM the Truth, and I AM the Life: no man can come unto the Father, but by Me.
Acts 1:9-11 - And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; who said, You men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, Who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven.
1 Corinthians 11:26 - For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till He come.
1 Corinthians 15:50-54 - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others who have no hope. For IF WE BELIEVE that Jesus died and rose again, even so those also who sleep in (died believing in) Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede; rise before) those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Note: This meeting with the Lord Jesus in the air, occurs prior to the Tribulation [a.k.a. Daniel's Seventieth Week (Daniel 9:24-27), and The Time of Jacob's Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7)]. That period is described in Matthew 24; Mark 13, Luke 21, and Revelation 6-19. Another reason we know it occurs prior to the Tribulation, is because that period is described as the outpouring of God's wrath upon the inhabitants of the earth; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 and 5:9-10 clearly teach believers in Christ are not appointed to suffer God's wrath. Another clue is found in the outline of the Book of Revelation, which is written chronologically; in 1:19, John is told to write what he has already seen, what he sees, and what shall be shown him that will occur hereafter. John had seen Jesus in His glory (Ch. 1); he could see the Church Age (Ch. 2-3); and following the removal of the Church (it is not mentioned again during the Tribulation chapters) he would be shown the future events, the Tribulation being the first.
The Bible warns that there will be signs of these things. The world will be as it was in the days of Noah, and in the days of Lot (Luke 17:26-29). If you have noticed the ever-increasing of the downward spiral of morality in the news today, you cannot help but know God is not going to tolerate mankind much longer. So warn you family, friends, neighbors, and even your enemies, time is about to run out; Jesus is coming for His own, and then coming with a vengeance on those who hate Him!
