ETERNITY SOMEWHERE

For the past two days, I have tried to present what God's Word has to say about those who reject His free gift of salvation, offered to all who will simply trust in Jesus Christ; they will be cast into the Lake of Fire to be tormented for eternity.  At the final judgment, they will realize the consequences of their choice, but it will be too late.  And while it is impossible for us to fathom the seriousness of those consequences, nevertheless, that is what their future holds for them.

But the good news is, no one has to end up spending eternity in agony.  We can escape the eternity we truly deserve, and experience living in the presence of Almighty God forever!  Many have asked, "What must I do?"  The answer is believe the Gospel!

The Gospel
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Cor. 15:1-4).

The heart of the Gospel is Christ's Resurrection
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Rom. 10:9).

Believing in the Lord results in worshipping Him
"Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on Him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him" (Jn. 9:35-38).

Salvation is offered to whosoever will trust in Jesus.
"He came unto His own (Israel), and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name" (Jn. 1:11-12).  "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." (1 Jn. 5:13).

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." (Acts 16:31).
