LEARN FROM THE FIG TREE!

THE FIG TREE AS A SYMBOL OF ISRAEL!

Deuteronomy 8:7-10 - For the LORD your God bringeth thee (shall bring you) into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; a land wherein you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig brass.  When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you.

Hosea 9:10 - I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first-ripe in the fig tree at her first time:  but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

Joel 1:5-7 - Awake, you drunkards, and weep; and howl, all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.  For a nation is come up upon My land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the cheek teeth of a great lion.  He has laid My vine waste, and barked My fig tree:  he has made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.

Joel 2:20-22 - But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savor shall come up, because he has done great things.  Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice:  for the LORD will do great things.  Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

Micah 4:3-5 - And He shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks:  nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid:  for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.  For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.

Matthew 21:19-21 - And when He saw a fig tree in the way, He came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on you henceforward forever. And presently the fig tree withered away.  And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!  Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Mark 11:20-22 - And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.  And Peter calling to remembrance said unto Him, Master, behold, the fig tree which You cursed is withered away.  And Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.

Luke 13:6-9 - He spoke also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.  Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none:  cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground (why waste the space)?  And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:  and if it bear fruit, well:  and if not, then after that you shalt cut it down.

Matthew 24:32-34 - Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh:  so likewise, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mark 13:28-30 - Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:  so you in like manner, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Luke 21:28-32 - And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.  And He spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; when they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.  So likewise, when you see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
