THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS WILL BEGIN THIS YEAR AT SUNSET ON SEPTEMBER 9TH, AND WILL END AT SUNSET ON SEPTEMBER 11TH.  MANY STUDENTS OF BIBLE PROPHECY BELIEVE THAT DUE TO THE FACT THE WORD "TRUMPETS" IS PLURAL, THAT IT REPRESENTS THE LAST TRUMP THE CHURCH HEARS DURING THE RAPTURE (1 THESS. 4:16), AND THE OTHER IS SIGNALING THE CALL FOR THE JEWISH PEOPLE TO RETURN TO ISRAEL (JOEL 2:15-16).  LORD! LET IT BE SO!!!!!!! 

LEVITICUS 23:23-25 (KING JAMES VERSION)

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.  Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

LEVITICUS 23:23-25 (EASY-TO-READ VERSION)

Again the Lord said to Moses, Tell the Israelites:  On the first day of the seventh month, you must have a special day of rest.  Blow the trumpet to remind the people that this is a holy meeting.  You must not do any work.  You must bring an offering as a gift to the Lord.

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS ACCORDING TO LARKIN

"The Feast of Trumpets, which was observed on the first day of the Seventh month, ushered in the second series of the set feasts.   It fell on a Sabbath day, at the time of the New Moon, and ushered in the Jewish New Year.  It was followed by the Day of Atonement, on the 10th day of the month, and by the Feast of Tabernacles which began on the 15th day of the month, a Sabbath day, and ended on the 22d day of the month, which was also a Sabbath day.  It was ushered in with the blowing of Trumpets.  During the Wilderness Wandering two silver Trumpets, made of the atonement money of the people, (and) were blown for the calling of the Assembly, and for the journeyings of the Camps." [Num. 10:1-3]

"The fact that the Feast of Trumpets comes immediately at the close of the 'Interval' between the two (sets) of (three) feasts is not without significance.  As we have seen the 'Interval' represents this 'Dispensation of Grace' (the Church Age), and we know that two things are to happen at the close of this  Dispensation.  First the Church is to be caught out (via the Rapture), and secondly, Israel is to be gathered back to their own land.  When the Church is caught out - 'The Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God." [1 Thess. 4:16]

Leviticus 23:24 - A memorial of blowing of trumpets -- Jewish writers say that the trumpets were sounded thirty successive times, and the reason for the institution was for the double purpose of announcing the commencement of the new year, which was (Lev. 23:25) to be religiously observed (Num. 29:3), and of preparing the people for the approaching solemn feast.

PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT JESUS WILL RETURN FOR HIS CHURCH ON SOME SPECIFIC DATE FOR YEARS, PERHAPS EVEN TWO THOUSAND YEARS!  NO ONE KNOWS WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN, BUT IN SPITE OF THE LONG HISTORY OF FAILED DATE-SETTERS, IT WILL HAPPEN!  IF IT IS TO OCCUR THIS WEEK, ARE YOU READY?  HAVE YOU TRUSTED IN THE LORD'S DEATH FOR YOUR SINS?  HAVE YOU CALLED UPON HIM AND CONFESSED TO OTHERS YOUR FAITH IN HIM?  IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE, SHOULDN'T YOU BE WARNING THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE?
