HANG IN THERE ISRAEL - GOD STILL LOVES YOU!

The Word of God says that Jesus, Israel's long-awaited Messiah, came, but that He was rejected by the Jews (Dan. 9:26; Lk. 19:14; Jn. 1:11; Acts 2:22-23; etc.).  The Apostle Paul explained that God has partially blinded the Jews, so that by rejecting their Messiah, Jesus became accessible to all (Rom. 11:1-32; see also Jn. 1:12; Acts 10:25-48; etc.).  But there will come a time, not in the too distant future, when God will remove their blindness, and at last, they will recognize that Jesus had to have been their Messiah!  Below are passages that describe the event which opens the eyes of the Jews.

"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate" (Dan. 9:26-27).

"And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate" (Dan. 11:31).

"And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days" (Dan. 12:11).

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains" (Mt. 24:15-16).

"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven" (Rev. 13:5-6).

Today, billions have heard the Gospel, the Good News that Jesus Christ died for their sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and raised from the dead, according to the Scriptures (1 Cor. 15:3-4)!  And even though Israel has been paying the penalty for rejecting their Messiah for nearly 2000 years, God's Word says that, in the end, all Israel will be saved (Rom. 11:26)!

I am so grateful that Israel was blinded, so that the rest of us can see the Lord Jesus!
