JESUS: RESURRECTED LORD OF THE SAVED

YOU ARE A SINNER

Romans 3:10 - "There is NONE righteous, no, not one."
Romans 3:23 - "For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

THE PENALTY FOR SIN IS DEATH

Ezekiel 18:4, 20 - "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death."

 

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN

Ephesians 2:9 - "Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us."

 

THOSE WHO ARE SAVED, ARE SAVED WHILE STILL IN THEIR SIN

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Acts 9:1-5 - "And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, and desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.  And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:  and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou Me?  And he said, Who art Thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutes."

 

SALVATION IS THE GIFT GOD GIVES TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE

Romans 6:23 - "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

 

WHEN WE BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, WE ARE SAVED

Romans 1:16 - "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth."

Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
