LEARN FROM THE PAST; YEARN FOR THE FUTURE!

COMPARISON:  AS IT WAS, SO IT SHALL BE!

Exodus 27:7-8 - "And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.  Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: AS it was showed thee in the mount, SO shall they make it."

Luke 17:26-27 - "And AS it was in the days of (Noah), SO shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that (Noah) entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all."

Luke 17:28-30 - "Likewise also AS it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.  (SO) shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."

John 3:14-15 - "And AS Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even SO must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

CONTRAST:  UNLIKE IT WAS, SO IT SHALL BE!

Romans 5:17-19 - "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.  Therefore AS by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even SO by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For AS by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, SO by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."

1 Corinthians 15:42-54 - "So also is the resurrection of the dead.  It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:  it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:  it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.  There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.  Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.  The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:  and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.  And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:  for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."
