THE ULTIMATE GESTALT SWITCH

WHAT IS A GESTALT SWITCH?

Originating from Gestalt theory, a Gestalt switch or shift is when someone's perception of what he sees suddenly changes from one thing to another.  The famous duck/rabbit illusion is a good example.  Other examples are the goblet/two faces and the elderly woman who suddenly appears as a young lady.  In Christianity, salvation occurs when an unsaved person suddenly becomes aware that God loves him, and believing the Gospel, the message of God's love, results in repentance and the faith to follow Christ,  Paul mentioned how the knowledge of the goodness of God "leadeth thee to repentance" (Romans 2:4).

THERE IS BUT ONE GOSPEL

Galatians 1:6-9 - "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another Gospel:  WHICH IS NOT ANOTHER; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

THE ONE GOSPEL IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

Mark 1:1, 14-15 - "The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God....Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand:  REPENT ye, AND BELIEVE the Gospel."

Luke 24:45-47 - "Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  and that REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

Acts 19:4 - "Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of REPENTANCE, saying unto the people, that they should BELIEVE on Him Who should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."

Acts 20:21 - "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE toward God, AND FAITH toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

THE MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE AND FAITH IS FOR ALL MANKIND

1 Timothy 2:3-4 - "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance."

REPENT (HAVE A CHANGE OF MIND)
AND ALLOW CHRIST TO BE YOUR LORD!
