1. The Tribulation is also known as "Daniel's Seventieth Week" (Dan. 9:24-27).
2. Another name for the Tribulation is "The Time of Jacob's Trouble (Jer. 30:7).
3. The Tribulation is explained by Jesus as being an event that begins in Jerusalem and Judea, with those coming to Christ after the Rapture of the Church, being persecuted in the synagogues (Mt. 24:16; Mk. 13:9; Lk. 21:12; Rev. Ch. 6 - 18)!
4. Those in Israel hear of "wars and rumors of wars," "earthquakes in diverse places," etc. but shall not experience them (Mt. 24:6-7; Mk. 13:7-8; Lk. 21:9-11).
5. The Abomination of Desolation takes place in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem (Dan. 9:27; Mt. 24:15; Mk. 13:14; Lk. 21:20; Rev. Ch. 13)!
6. Only the Jews are still looking for their Messiah, and care about honoring the Sabbath (Mt. 24:5, 20, 23-24; Mk. 13:6, 10, 14, 21-22; Lk. 21:8)!
7. There will be signs in the heavens at the return of Jesus (Mt. 24:29; Mk. 13:24-25; Lk. 21:25)! And it is the Jews who require signs to believe (1 Cor. 1:22)!
8. There is no mention of the Church in any of the references to the Tribulation Seven-year period!
9. Jesus said the true believers would be removed prior to the Tribulation (Jn. 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:50-54; 1 Th. 4:14-17; Rev. 3:10)!
According to the above passages, the signs in the heavens, for the Jews, occur at the Second Coming of Christ; they are not mentioned in relationship with the Rapture of the Church. Today, there is much speculation that because of the signs in the heavens, the Rapture will occur on September 23, 2017. I suggest that the three Fall Feasts of the Lord (Trumpets; Atonement; and Tabernacles) will be fulfilled by Christ's dealing with the Jews during the Tribulation and the Millennium. After all, the Spring Feasts of the Lord (Passover; Unleavened Bread; and Firstfruits) were fulfilled by Christ's First Coming! The only Feast of the Lord that relates to the Church Age, is the Feast of Pentecost. The Church was born on this feast (Acts 2:1-47), and the timing of Christ's coming for His Church is not known by any man, not even Jesus Himself (Mk. 13:32)! If your pastor or anyone else says he knows the time of the Rapture, you might want to pray for them!
I DO NOT KNOW WHEN HE IS COMING FOR ME,
BUT I DO KNOW HE'S COMING!
BUT I DO KNOW HE'S COMING!
