DO YOU WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN?

RIGHTEOUSNESS DEFINED:

"The state of being right with God; being pleasing to God;

being like God:  holy, upright, clean, pure, sinless." 

THE PROBLEM:  NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS!

Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses (religious works) are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:10, 23 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one - - - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory (the righteousness) of God....

MAKING THE PROBLEM WORSE!

Romans 10:1-3 - Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

GOD HAS PROVIDED OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Romans 5:17-21 - For if by one man's offence death reigned by one (Adam); much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One (Jesus Christ).  Therefore as by the offence of one (Adam) judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One (Jesus Christ) the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  For as by one man's disobedience (Adam) many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One (Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous.  Moreover the Law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  that as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He (the Father) has made Him (the Only Begotten Son) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us....

JESUS DIED SO WE COULD BECOME RIGHTEOUS!

LOVE LIKE THAT CAN SURELY BE TRUSTED!  AMEN!
