JESUS PROPHESIED OF HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION!
Matthew 17:9 - "And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead." [Mk. 9:9]
Matthew 26:32 - "But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee." [Mk. 14:18]
Matthew 27:64 - "Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night, and steal Him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first."
JESUS FULFILLED THOSE PROPHECIES!
Matthew 28:6-7 - "He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you."
Mark 16:6, 9, 14 - "And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, Who was crucified: He is risen; He is not here: behold the place where they laid Him....Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils....Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen."
Luke 24:6, 34 - "He is not here, but is risen: remember how He spoke unto you when He was yet in Galilee....Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon."
John 2:22 - "When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the Scripture, and the Word which Jesus had said."
John 21:14 - "This is now the third time that Jesus showed Himself to His disciples, after that He was risen from the dead."
THE IMPORTANCE OF CHRIST'S RESURRECTION!
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures...."
[Note: The Gospel has the power of God to save those who believe it! - Rom. 1:16]
1 Corinthians 15:12-17 - "Now if Christ be preached that He rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ: Whom He raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins."
Romans 10:8-13 - "But what saith...the Word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the (Gentile): for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
