JESUS: PROPHET, PRIEST, AND KING!

JESUS AS PROPHET

Matthew 13:57 - And they were offended in Him.  But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Mark 6:4 - But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Luke 4:24 - And He said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

John 4:44 - For Jesus Himself testified, that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

JESUS AS PRIEST

Hebrews 2:17 - Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 3:1-2 - Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Hebrews 4:14-15 - Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 5:5-6, 10 - So also Christ glorified not Himself to be made an High Priest; but He that said unto Him, Thou art My Son, today have I begotten thee.  As he said also in another place, Thou art a Priest forever after the order of Melchisedec. - - - Called of God an High Priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 6:20 - Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an High Priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:24-27 - But this man, because He continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood.  For such an High Priest became us, Who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needs not daily, as those High Priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did once, when He offered up Himself.

Hebrews 8:1-3 - Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:  We have such an High Priest, Who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.  For every High Priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices:  wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

Hebrews 9:11-12 - But Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Hebrews 10:19-22 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; and having an High Priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith....

JESUS AS KING

Luke 22:29-30 - And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as My Father has appointed unto Me; that ye may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

John 18:36-37 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world:  if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:  but now is My kingdom not from hence.  Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art Thou a king then?  Jesus answered, You say that I am a king.  To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.  Every one that is of the truth hears My voice.

1 Timothy 6:14-16 - That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:  Who in His times He shall show, Who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; Whom no man has seen, nor can see:  to Whom be honor and power everlasting.  Amen.

Revelation 17:14 - These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them:  for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings:  and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Revelation 19:16 - And He has on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

TO THE JEWS, JESUS IS PROPHET, PRIEST, AND KING;
TO THE CHRISTIAN, HE IS OUR SAVIOR AND OUR LORD!
