FOOD FROM ADAM TO NOAH!
Genesis 2:16-17 - And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.
Genesis 3:17-19, 22-24 - And unto Adam He said, Because you have hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, You shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and you shall eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of thy face shall you eat bread, until you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you art, and unto dust shall you return. - - - And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever: therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life.
Genesis 6:21-22 - And take you unto thee of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
FOOD FROM NOAH UNTIL MOSES!
Genesis 9:1-3 - And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fish of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that lives shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
THE DIETARY LAWS OF ISRAEL!
Moses was given God's Law concerning clean and unclean foods in Leviticus 11:1-47. All Jews, from that time until, I suppose, the end of the Millennium, Messiah's 1000 year reign on this earth, will follow the dietary laws of Israel.
THE DIETARY LAWS OF THE CHURCH!
Acts 10:9-16 - . . . Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: and he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. And the voice spoke unto him again the second time, What God has cleansed, that (do not call) common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Acts 15:28-29 - For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; that you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Romans 14:1-6 - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him who eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him. Who are you that judges another man's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be (held) up: for God is able to make him stand. One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.
WHAT SHALL WE EAT IN HEAVEN?
Revelation 22:1-2 - And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the Tree of Life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
WHILE GOD'S DIETARY REQUIREMENTS HAVE CHANGED OVER TIME,
ONE THING HAS REMAINED CONSTANT: HIS WILL THAT ALL WOULD
REPENT AND BELIEVE IN HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST!
