BELIEVING THE GOSPEL RESULTS IN REPENTANCE!

CHRIST'S COMMAND TO BELIEVERS!

Luke 24:45-48 - Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  And you are witnesses of these things.

Note:  Repentance, in this case, is the result of hearing the Gospel message and believing it.  It is a change of mind that occurs the moment one realizes he is a sinner for whom Christ died, and he desires to please the God Who loved him that much!  Two perfect examples of repentance are seen in the attitudes leading to the conversion of Saul of Tarsus and the Philippian Jailer:

Acts 9:6 - And he (Saul) trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

Acts 16:30 - And he (the jailer) brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved(In this case, he was told, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved....).

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE TELLS OF THE REMISSION OF SINS!

Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Gentile).

1 Corinthians 15:1-6 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved . . . For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  and that He was seen by Peter, then by the twelve:  after that, He was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present day, but some are fallen asleep (have died).

Matthew 26:28For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Acts 2:38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:43To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins.

Romans 3:25 - (Christ Jesus) Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation (payment in full of our debt because the Word says the soul that sin must surely die) through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins....

Hebrews 9:22 - …without (the) shedding of blood (there) is no remission.

IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE CHRIST DIED FOR YOU,
YOUR GRATITUDE WILL BE SEEN BY OTHERS!
