THE BIBLE IDENTIFIES THE "I AM" AS GOD!
Exodus 3:14-15 - And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you: this is My name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.
JESUS IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS THE "I AM!"
John 8:24, 28 - I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I AM he, you shall die in your sins. - - - Then said Jesus unto them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I AM he, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father has taught Me, I speak these things.
John 13:18-19 - I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, you may believe that I AM he.
John 18:5-8 - They answered Him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said unto them, I AM he. And Judas also, who betrayed Him, stood with them. As soon then as He had said unto them, I AM he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked He them again, Whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I AM he: if therefore you seek Me, let these go their way....
Revelation 1:18 - I AM he Who lives, and was dead; and, behold, I AM alive forever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 2:23 - And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I AM he Who searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
[Note: In all of these verses, the translators have added the word "he," in a misguided effort to clarify the text; in so doing, they hindered the Word from identifying Jesus as the I AM of Exodus 3:14! The following verses do not contain the word "he," but neither do they emphasize the Jesus is God; a fact that is clearly presented throughout the New Testament, with John 1:1-3, 14, being the best example!]
JESUS IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS THE "I AM!"
Matthew 27:43 - He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him: for He said, I AM the Son of God.
John 6:35, 41, 51 - And Jesus said unto them, I AM the bread of life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst. - - - The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, I AM the bread which came down from heaven. - - - I AM the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
John 8:12 - Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM the light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 9:5 - As long as I AM in the world, I AM the light of the world.
John 10:7, 9, 11, 14, 36 - Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM the door of the sheep. - - - I AM the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. - - - I AM the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. - - - I AM the good shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine. - - - Say you of Him, Whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I AM the Son of God?
John 11:25 - Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live....
John 14:6 - Jesus said unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.
John 15:1, 5 - I AM the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. - - - I AM the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.
Revelation 1:17 - And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I AM the first and the last....
Revelation 22:16 - I Jesus have sent My angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I AM the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
THE BEST EXAMPLE OF THE LORD'S CLAIM:
John 8:57-59 - Then said the Jews unto Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
REMEMBER!
IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE JESUS IS THE I AM,
YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS!
