THE SEVEN APPOINTED TIMES!

THE TITLE,  "THE FEASTS OF THE LORD," IS MISLEADING!

In Leviticus 23:4, we read seventeen words:  "These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons."  However, in the Hebrew text, the verse contains only six words; they are:
מוֹעֵד mow`ed - appointed time; a called assembly
יְהֹוָה Yĕhovah - Jehovah; LORD
קֹדֶשׁ qodesh - holy; set apart
מִקְרָא miqra' - assembly; gathering
קָרָא qara' - call; announce; proclaim
מוֹעֵד mow`ed - appointed time; a called assembly

These seven called assemblies were divide into three distinct groupings; the first three, Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits, occur in the Spring; the last three, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles, take place in the Fall; between these two groupings was the fourth called assembly:  Pentecost.  Not only were these seven appointed assemblies yearly events, they also were prophetic pictures of the First and Second Comings of Jesus Christ.

JESUS LITERALLY FULFILLED THE SPRING "FEASTS" AT HIS FIRST COMING!

As the Passover Lamb, the Unleavened Bread (leaven represents sin in the Bible):, and the Firstfruits (from the grave):

John 1:29, 36 - The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. - - - And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!

John 6:41The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, I am the Bread which came down from heaven.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8 - Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened.  For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:  therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the Unleavened Bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23 - But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the Firstfruits of them that slept.  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  But every man in his own order:  Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His (Second) Coming.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For He (The Father) has made Him (The Son) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Hebrews 4:15 - For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

THE UNIQUE ASSEMBLY WHICH STANDS ALONE:  PENTECOST!

From the time of His Resurrection, until the time of His Ascension was fifty days; the number of days from the end of the Spring Feasts until Pentecost.  Jesus had told His disciples that He was going to build the Church (Mt. 16:18);  Pentecost was the birth of His Church!

Leviticus 23:15-17And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:  even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.  You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven....

Acts 1:1-3The former treatise have I made (the Gospel of Luke), O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen:  to whom also He showed Himself alive after His passion (sufferings and death) by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God....

Ten days passed and then, the Church Age (a mystery to the Jews - Rom. 11:25; 16:25; Eph. 5:32; 6:19; Col. 1:26-27; etc.):

Acts 2:1-4, 46-47And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost - - - And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the Church daily such as should be saved.

[Note:  The Church Age ends with the removal of born again believers in what is called "The Rapture."  See John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10; 4:13-18; 5:9-10; Revelation 3:10; etc.]

JESUS WILL LITERALLY FULFILL THE FALL "FEASTS" AS WELL!

Trumpets were used for many purposes in the Jewish culture.  I believe the use that best describes the prophetic fulfillment will be the Lord calling His people Israel, to assemble in the "promised land."  Trumpets is plural, so there may also be a call to arms associated with their return.  Atonement is a time of repentance, and making ready for their Lord's coming (Revelation 19); Tabernacles pictures Christ's earthly kingdom, the Millennium (Revelation  20).

ONE SHOULD NOT BE DOGMATIC CONCERNING FUTURE FULFILLMENTS OF BIBLE PROPHECY; AS CAN BE SEEN BY CHRIST'S FIRST ADVENT, THE RELIGIOUS EXPERTS WERE SURPRISED, TO SAY THE LEAST!  REGARDLESS, YOU CAN BET YOUR ETERNAL SOUL ON THIS FACT:  JESUS IS COMING AGAIN, AND HE WON'T BE A GENTLE LAMB THIS TIME; REVELATION 5:5 CALLS HIM "THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH!  ARE YOU READY?

TRUST JESUS TODAY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
