THE WORD: OUR PAST, OUR PRESENT, AND FUTURE

The Word of God provides born again believers with all that is necessary for us to have victory over our trials and tribulations.  I like what Romans 15:4 has to say about it:  "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."

OUR LEARNING

"But continue thou in the things which THOU HAST LEARNED...that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." (2 Tim. 3:14-15).

OUR PATIENCE

"Because thou hast kept the Word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth" (Rev. 3:10).

OUR COMFORT

"For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord...the Lord Himself shall descend...and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  then we...shall be caught up...to meet the Lord...and...ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words" (1 Thes. 4:15-18).

OUR HOPE

"For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the Word of the Truth of the Gospel; which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in Truth" (Col. 1:5-6).

God always finishes what He starts (Rom. 8:29; Phil. 1:6; 1 Jn. 3:2)!
