GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS; HE LOVES US AS MUCH AS HE LOVED STEPHEN!

JESUS ASCENDED AND IS SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF HIS FATHER!

Matthew 22:44 - The LORD said unto my Lord, SIT Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.

Mark 12:36 - For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, SIT Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.  

Luke 20:42-43 - And David himself said in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, SIT Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.

Acts 2:34-35 - For David is not ascended into the heavens:  but he said himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, SIT Thou on My right hand, until I make Thy foes Thy footstool.

Ephesians 1:19-21 - And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and SET Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:  and has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church....

Colossians 3:1 - If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ SITS on the right hand of God.

Hebrews 1:3, 13 - Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, SAT down on the right hand of the Majesty on high - - - But to which of the angels said He at any time, SIT on My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?

Hebrews 8:1-2 - Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:  We have such an high priest, Who is SET on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Hebrews 10:11-13 - And every priest stands daily ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:  but this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, SAT down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.

THE ONE EXCEPTION!

Acts 7:55-56 - But (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus STANDING on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man STANDING on the right hand of God.

To understand this unique vision of Jesus standing while Stephen was being stoned to death, picture yourself sitting on your front porch, and a man about to hit your child in the head with a baseball bat.  Would you be able to remain seated?  Of course not!  What would motivate you to leap to your feet and run to save your child?  Love!  It was the Son of man's love for Stephen that caused Him to stand, but it was the Son of God's love for the rest of the world, including those stoning Stephen, that prevented Him from intervening!  Had He physically done so, all the prophecy concerning His Second Coming would be broken!  And He loved you and me too much for that!

LOVE HELD HIM ON THE CROSS AND LOVE HELD HIM BACK!

YES, THE FATHER LOVES US ENOUGH TO SEND HIS SON,

BUT IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT HIS SON TRULY LOVES US AS WELL!
