CHRISTMAS IS GOD SHOWING HIS LOVE FOR US! WHAT SHOULD BE OUR RESPONSE?

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATES GOD'S LOVE FOR US!

John 3:15-18 - . . . whosoever believes in Him* should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.*  He that believes in Him is not condemned:  but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

Notes:
*  "Him" - Jesus:  The Son of God and the Son of man - Mary.
**  "Saved" - We are saved through faith that Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins, and that God raised Him from the dead - (Rom. 1:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-6).  Believers are saved from the penalty of our sins, which is death (Rom. 6:23), and from the wrath of God, His judgment on unbelievers - Rom. 1: 18; 5:9; Eph. 5:6; Col. 3:6; 1 Th. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 14:10; 15:1, 7; 16:1.

THE RESPONSE OF ALL WHO TRULY BELIEVE!

1 John 4:15-19 - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.  God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear:  because fear hath torment.  He that fears is not made perfect in love.  

We love Him, because He first loved us!
