GOD'S GOAL IN CREATING US!

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let Us make man (mankind) in Our image, after Our likeness:  and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

GOD CREATED ADAM (AND EVE) IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS!

Genesis 5:1-2 - This is the book of the generations of Adam.  In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him; male and female created He them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

ADAM (AND EVE) CEASED TO BE LIKE GOD WHEN ADAM SINNED!

Genesis 3:5-6 - For God knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as (like) gods (God:  this is the same exact Hebrew word translated God in Gen. 1:1), knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man (Adam and Eve were one in marriage - Gen. 2:23-24) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

ALL OF ADAM'S (AND EVE'S) CHILDREN ARE CREATED IN ADAM'S LIKENESS!

Genesis 5:1-3 - This is the book of the generations of Adam.  In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him (notice Adam was created in God's likeness, but Adam's children were after Adam's likeness); male and female created He them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.  And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot a (another) son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.

Romans 3:10, 23 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one - - - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (The One exception is Jesus - 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15).

THE GOOD NEW IS, GOD'S GOAL WILL ONE DAY BE ACCOMPLISHED!

Romans 3:20-22 - Therefore (although) by the deeds of the Law there shall no flesh (no man) be justified in his sight (declared to be in God's likeness): for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.  But now the righteousness of God without (apart from) the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; even the righteousness (the likeness) of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all those who believe.

1 John 3:1-2 - Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons (children) of God:  therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.  Beloved, now are we the sons (children) of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR,

AND YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY LIKE HIM!
