EVIDENCE OF SALVATION!

THE APOSTLE PETER'S MESSAGE:  REPENT AND BELIEVE!

Acts 2:36-41 - Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, Whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized (true baptism should always follow for those professing faith) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:  and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

2 Peter 3:3-9 - Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For of this they willingly are ignorant, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:  but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

THE APOSTLE PAUL'S MESSAGE:  REPENT AND BELIEVE!

Acts 20:18-21 - And when they (the elders from Ephesus) were come to him (the apostle Paul), he said unto them, You know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:  and how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 26:16-20 - (Jesus said to Paul) But rise, and stand upon your feet:  for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in the which I will appear (reveal) unto you; delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I now send you, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:  but showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance (that show repentance has taken place).

THE WRITER OF HEBREWS' MESSAGE:  REPENTANCE AND FAITH!

Hebrews 6:1-3 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  And this will we do, if God permit.

THE APOSTLE JAMES MESSAGE:  TRUE REPENTANCE SHOWS!

James 2:14-20 - What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and has not works?  Can (that empty profession of) faith save him?  If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you says unto them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; notwithstanding, you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit?  Even so faith, if it has not (does not produce) works, is dead, being alone (nothing but empty words).  Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works:  (try to) show me (evidence of your) faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.  You believe that there is one God; you do well: (however, even) the devils also believe, and (at least they)tremble.  But wilt thou (don't you) know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

SALVATION:  HEAR AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!

Romans1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

THE GOSPEL!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved - - - For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

TRUE BELIEVERS SHARE THEIR FAITH IN JESUS!

Romans 10:9-11 - That if you shall (publicly) confess with your mouth (faith in) the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever (genuinely) believes in Him shall not be ashamed.

IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR LORD,

YOUR WORDS AND YOUR ACTIONS WILL MATCH!
