SALVATION: AS I UNDERSTAND IT!

BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS ARE SAVED 

FROM THE PENALTY OF SIN (DEATH - ROM. 6:23), 

AND FROM THE JUDGMENT OF ALMIGHTY GOD!

Romans 5:1-9 - Therefore being justified (declared righteous by God) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  by Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand (our right standing with God is base upon His grace, a free gift), and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (believers will one day be like Him - 1 Jn. 3:2).  And not only so, but we glory (rejoice) in tribulations also:  knowing that tribulation works (teaches us) patience; and patience (in tribulation gains us) experience; and experience (gains us) hope:  and hope does not make us ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit Who is given unto us.  For when we were yet without strength (the ability to live a sinless life), in due time, Christ died for the ungodly.  For scarcely (it is quite rare) for a righteous man will one die:  yet peradventure (perhaps) for a good man some would even dare to die.  But God commended (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by His blood (His death - see Lev. 17:11), we shall be saved from wrath (God's judgment - see 1 Th. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 3:10) through Him.

THE MESSAGE WHICH, WHEN BELIEVED,

HAS THE POWER TO SAVE YOU!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel (the good news that God has provided the power to save you - see Rom. 1:16) which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved - - - For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures!

TRUST IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,

AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED!
