MY VIEW OF THE ROLL OF THE ELDERS OF

CHARLESTOWN INDEPENDENT CHURCH!

Elders are to be stewards, that is, to be responsible for specific areas of ministry, but are accountable to the Board of Elders as a whole.

Brian Tibbs - Brian is responsible for insuring that what is taught is in accordance to the Apostles' doctrine as it is revealed in the Bible, God's Holy Word.  All Bible teachers within the church are under his authority.   Brian is our Teacher.

Joshua Spencer - Josh is responsible for shepherding the flock, those who recognize Charlestown Independent Church as God's place for them and their families.  He protects the individual sheep from others and from themselves.  Josh is our Pastor.

Christopher Birke - Chris is responsible for oversight of the organization of the church.  He is the C.O.O. of the church.  Those who hold service positions in the church (deacons, musicians, secretaries, treasurers, custodians, etc.) are organized and coordinated by him; this would include the scheduling of church activities, programs, meetings, etc.  Chris is our Steward.

Paul Loy - Paul is responsible for missions, evangelism, soul-winning; basically, all outreach.  Paul is our Evangelist.
