THE BOOK OF MATTHEW:
THE GOSPEL WRITTEN TO THE JEWS
IDENTIFIES JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD!
Matthew 1:16-20 - And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, Who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. [Note: The Holy Ghost (Spirit) is God - See Acts 5:1-4.] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away (divorce her) privately. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 3:14-17 - But John forbade (refused) Him, saying, I have need to be baptized of You, and You come to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Allow it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered (yielded to) Him. And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him (See John 1:32): and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 8:28-32 - And when He was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two possessed with devils (demons), coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God? Are You come here to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine feeding. So the devils (demons) besought Him, saying, If Thou cast us out, suffer (allow) us to go away into the herd of swine. And He said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
Matthew 16:28 - 17:9 - Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom. - - - And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with Him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if Thou wilt (You will it), let us make here three tabernacles; one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased; listen to Him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save (except) Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
Matthew 26:62-65 - And the high priest arose, and said unto Him, Answerest Thou nothing (do You have nothing to say)? What is it which these witness against Thee? But Jesus held His peace (remained silent). And the high priest answered and said unto Him, I adjure thee (beg You) by the living God, that You tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus said unto him, you have said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent (tore) his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard His blasphemy.
JESUS: SON OF GOD AND SON OF MAN,
DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD!
GOD, HIS FATHER, RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD
THAT HE MIGHT BE KNOWN AS
THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS!
TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST TODAY!
