ONLY THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE WITH GOD!

 TO HAVE FAITH, IS TO BELIEVE SOMETHING TO BE TRUE!

Hebrews 11:1, 3, 6 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - - - Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. - - - But without faith it is impossible to please Him:  for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 

[Notes:  Verse 1 - "the substance" is the assurance, the certainty, the knowledge or confidence of the reality of something.  "the evidence" is the proof that something, thought unseen, exists.  Verse 3 - the writer's example of what faith is  Although Genesis 1 refers to what appears to be His spoken word, we know from John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16-17; and Hebrews 1:1-2; that "the Word" here is referring to the Son of God.  Verse 6 - "without faith" is the exact opposite of "believe"; so to have faith, is to believe!]

IT IS THROUGH FAITH THAT ONE BELIEVES UNTO SALVATION!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

[Notes:  "grace" is God's favor which is unmerited by us; "the gift of God" verifies this by the fact that what one earns, is not a gift, but is a payment for services rendered; wages!  This is clearly seen in Romans 6:23 which says:  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.]

HOW DOES ONE ACQUIRE SAVING FAITH?

Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC PART OF GOD'S WORD THAT PRODUCES FAITH?

Romans 1:15-17 - So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospel to you that are at Rome also.  For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (non-Jew; Gentile).  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

1 Corinthians 15:1-6 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved . . . . For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  and that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:  after that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep (have died).

WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOSPEL?

John 3:14-18 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man (Jesus) be lifted up:  that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believes in Him is not condemned:  but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

John 8:24 - I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins:  for if you believe not that I AM, you shall die in your sins.

IS THERE ANOTHER WAY THAT ONE CAN GET TO GO TO HEAVEN?

John 14:6 - Jesus said unto him, I AM The Way, (I AM) The Truth, and (I AM) The Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.

Acts 4:10-12 - Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, Whom God raised from the dead, even by Him does this man stand here before you whole.  This (Jesus) is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, Who is become the head of the corner.  Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

FAITH IN JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE!
