JESUS IS TO BE BOTH 

OUR LORD AND OUR SAVIOR!

Matthew 7:21-29 - Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name?  And in Your name have cast out devils?  And in Your name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:  depart from Me, you that work iniquity.  Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:  and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:  for it was founded upon a rock.  And everyone that hears these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:  and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:  and great was the fall of it.  And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine:  for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power (authority) is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.  Go therefore, and teach (proclaim the Gospel) all nations, baptizing them (those who believe the Gospel) in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world (age).  Amen.
Acts 5:29-32 - Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.  The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, Whom you slew and hanged on a tree.  Him has God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, Whom God has given to those who obey Him.

Romans 6:12-17 - Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  but yield yourselves unto God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  For sin shall not have dominion over you:  for you are not under the Law, but under grace.  What then?  Shall we sin, because we are not under the Law, but under grace?  God forbid.  Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?  But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Romans 10:16 - But they have not all obeyed the Gospel.  For Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our report?

Galatians 3:1-3 - O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been displayed as crucified among you?  This only would I learn of you, did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith?  Are you so foolish?  Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 5:6-9 - For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything; but faith which works by love.  You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth  This persuasion comes not of Him that called you.  A little leaven (false doctrine - Mt. 16:11-12) leavens the whole lump.

Ephesians 2:8-10 - For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 1:6; 2:13 - Being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ - - - For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 - And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ....

2 Thessalonians 3:14 - And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

Hebrews 5:8-9 - Though He were a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered; and being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him.

1 Peter 1:21-22 - Who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.  Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently.

1 Peter 4:17 - For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?

BY FAITH IN THE ONE WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS,

THE ONE WHO WAS BURIED BUT RAISED AGAIN,

ALL ACCORDING TO THE PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES,

WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!

THEREFORE, WE OUGHT TO DO THE WORKS 

GOD HAS SAVED US TO DO!  AMEN!
