THIS COULD BE THE YEAR THAT CHRIST COMES FOR HIS CHURCH!

JESUS IS THE LITERAL FULFILLMENT OF THE IMAGERY OF THE FEAST KNOWN AS PASSOVER!

Leviticus 23:1-8 - And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations (sacred assemblies), even these are My feasts.  Six days shall work be done:  but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein:  it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.  These are the Feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.  In the fourteenth day of the first month at even (the beginning of the evening, or sunset) is the LORD's Passover.  And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread unto the LORD:  seven days you must eat unleavened bread.  In the first day you shall have an holy convocation:  you shall do no servile work therein.  But you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days:  in the seventh day is an holy convocation:  you shall do no servile work therein.

[Notes:  Jesus is literally called "the Lamb of God" (Jn. 1:29, 36), and "our Passover" (1 Cor. 5:7)!  "Unleavened Bread" (leaven is always a picture of sin in God's Word) - Since Jesus, "The Bread of Life" was sinless, the bread eaten with the Passover Lamb, was to be unleavened (Jn. 6:41; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15).]

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF JESUS CHRIST BEING
RECOGNIZED AS "THE LAMB OF GOD!"

Exodus 12:1-13 - And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months:  it shall be the first month of the year to you.  Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:  and if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year:  you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:  and you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month:  and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.  And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.  Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance (inner parts) thereof.  And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning, you shall burn with fire.  And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste:  it is the LORD's Passover.  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment:  I AM the LORD.  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are:  and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

[Notes:  The lamb chosen to be the Passover was selected on the tenth day of the month, and was to be observed until the fourteenth; if it was found to have a blemish (a picture of sin), or some weakness or sickness, it was not to serve as the Passover lamb.  There are two passages where the meaning of the text is made clear and understood by this imagery.]

John 6:51-63 - I AM the living bread which came down from heaven:  if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.  The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us His flesh to eat?  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you.  Whoso eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.  He that eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, dwells in Me, and I in him.  As the living Father has sent Me, and I live by the Father:  so he that eats Me, even he shall live by Me.  This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:  he that eats of this bread shall live forever.  These things said He in the synagogue, as He taught in Capernaum.  Many therefore of His disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured at it, He said unto them, Does this offend you?  What and if you shall see the Son of man ascend up where He was before?  It is the Spirit that quickens (makes alive); the flesh profits nothing:  the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life.

1 Corinthians 11:23-30 - For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread:  and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, Take, eat:  this is My body, which is broken for you:  this do in remembrance of Me.  After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood:  this do you, as oft as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.  For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till He come.  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.  For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep (are dead).
