THE FEASTS OF THE LORD: PENTECOST,
THIS UNIQUE FEAST PICTURES THE CHURCH!
[Note: The Jews were required to go to Jerusalem for three of the seven Feasts of the Lord: Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits were known as the Spring Feasts, and they picture the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Lord at His First Coming. Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles are known as the Fall Feasts, and they picture Christ's dealings with Israel at His Second Coming. The Feast of Pentecost, a feast unique in that it is not connected with the Spring and Fall Feasts, is a picture of a mysterious gap in time between Christ's First and Second Comings. This gap is known as the Church Age!]
LEVITICUS TWENTY-THREE
[THE DATE IS DETERMINED BY THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS]
[10] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the (FEAST OF) FIRSTFRUITS of your harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath (will always be on Sunday, the first day of the week) the priest shall wave it.
[12] And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
[13] And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin (about five quarts or six liters).
[14] And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[CALCULATING THE DAY OF THE FEAST OF PENTECOST]
[15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:
[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days (again, this will always be on the first day of the week, a Sunday); and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
[17] Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven (leaven always represents sin; the two loaves represent the Church made up of imperfect Jews and Gentiles believers in Christ); they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
[18] And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savor unto the LORD.
[19] Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
[20] And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
[21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
[22] And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of thy harvest: you shall leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

ACTS TWO
[THE FULFILLMENT OF THE FEAST OF PENTECOST]
[1] And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
[5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
[6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

[6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
[12] And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What does this mean?
[13] Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
[14] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
[15] For these are not drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day (9 a.m.).
[16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
[17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
[18] And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy.
[13] Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

[36] Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
[40] And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward (wicked) generation.
[41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
[44] And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
[45] And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
[46] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47] Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

IT IS CLEAR FROM CURRENT EVENTS THAT THE PERIOD KNOWN AS THE CHURCH AGE IS GOING TO END ANY DAY. THOSE WHO HAVE TRUSTED IN THE LORD JESUS WHO DIED TO PAY FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD, WILL BE CAUGHT UP TO BE WITH THEIR LORD IN HEAVEN. THEN, THE FALL FEASTS WILL BEGIN! I PRAY THAT ALL WHO ARE READING THIS, AND THEIR FAMILIES, WILL BE SAVED BY FAITH IN JESUS; AND SAVED FROM THE WRATH OF GOD THAT IS COMING!
