BELIEVERS OUGHT NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR WHAT GOD HAS DONE!

THE WORK OF GOD IN OUR SALVATION!

John 1:11-13 (in my words) - Jesus came unto His own people, and Israel rejected Him, but to all who accept Him, He gives the power to become the children of God, even to those who believed on His name:  these are born again, not just physically,  but spiritually, by the very will of God.

John 3:5-6 (in my words) - Jesus said, Very truly, I say unto you, Except a person be born of water (be born physically), and be born of the Spirit (be born again spiritually), that person cannot enter into the eternal kingdom of God, for those who are only born of the flesh, are governed by the desires of their flesh; but those who are born of the Spirit, desire to be governed by God's will.

John 3:16-17 (in my words) - God so loved His creation, that He gave the life of His Only Begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world; but He sent Him to die for the sins of the world, so that all who have faith in Jesus, can be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (in my words)For God has made Jesus to be sin for us, Who had no sin of His own; so that we might be declared to be righteous by God because of our faith in Him.

OUR "WORK" IN OUR SALVATION!

John 6:28-29 (in my words) - Then they said unto Jesus, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?  Jesus answered them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Me, Whom He has sent unto you.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (in my words)For by grace, that is, by God's unmerited favor, you are saved through faith; and salvation is not of your own doing:  it is the gift of God:  not of your religious works, so that you have no grounds for which to boast.

Titus 3:5-7 (in my words)Not by religious works which we have done, but according to God's mercy, He saved us . . . . and being made righteous by His grace, we have been made heirs according to God's promise of eternal life.

GOD'S OFFER!

Romans 10:9-13 (in my words) - IF you verbally confess your faith in the Lord Jesus, and truly believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved.  For with the heart one believes and is declared righteous by God; and verbally acknowledging faith in Him results in salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not be ashamed to declare it.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord is rich in mercy and grace to all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

SCRIPTURE IS BASED UPON MY UNDERSTANDING
OF THE KING JAMES VERSION OF THE BIBLE.
