THE ONE THING NECESSARY TO BE SAVED!

HEBREWS ELEVEN:  THE FAITH CHAPTER!

[1] Now faith is the substance (Gk. N. hypostasis - the underlying foundation; the base of belief) of things hoped for (Gk. V. elpizo - trusting to be true), the evidence of things not seen.

[3] By faith we understand (Gk. V. noeo - know) that the worlds were framed (Gk. V. katartizo - created; made complete) by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

[5] By faith Enoch was translated (Gk. V. metatithemi - removed - see Gal. 1:6) that he should not see (Gk. V. eido - not know from experience) death; and was not found, because God had translated him:  for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

[6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him:  for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

[32-34] And what shall I more say?  For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:  who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens....

FAITH IS THE ONE THING NECESSARY TO BE SAVED!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace (Gk. N. charis - undeserved, unmerited favor from God) are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing, and hearing (believing) the Word (the Scriptures; the Holy Bible) of God.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved . . . . For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures....

Romans 10:9-13 (in my words) - IF you shall confess with your mouth your faith in the Lord Jesus, and truly believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart one believes and is made right with God; and with the mouth confession of ones faith in Him results in salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord is rich in His mercy and grace unto all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

DO YOU HAVE FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST?
