HEAVEN: THERE IS ROOM FOR YOU!

GENESIS ONE - IN THE BEGINNING!

Because God is Eternal, He existed before Genesis 1:1, before that first day when time began, as did His angels and their realm, the place we call heaven.  The Bible identifies God's dwelling place as the "third heaven" (see 2 Corinthians 12:2; Revelation 4:1-2).  In the first verse of the Bible, heaven and earth are said to have been created.  The word "heaven" is singular in the King James Bible, because those interpreting the Hebrew shamayim (a "dual" noun) understood the word was referring to the entire Universe.  We know this because on day four of Creation, the Sun, the Moon, and also the Stars were placed there.  And because, on day one, Earth's atmosphere had not yet been created; that occurred on day two.  Here are the verses in which the word "heaven" appears with regard to the Creation Week:

Genesis 1:1-5 - Day One
[1] In the beginning (of time) God created the heaven (the Universe) and the Earth.
Genesis 1:6-8 - Day Two
[8] And God called the firmament heaven (the atmosphere). And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Genesis 1:9-13 - Day Three
[9] And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Genesis 1:14-19 - Day Four
[14] And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
[15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
[17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Genesis 1:20-23 - Day Five
[20] And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Genesis 2:1-2 - The Summation of the Creation Week
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[4] These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens....

Based upon the fact that the God dwells in the "third heaven," is it not reasonable to call the Universe the "second heaven," and Earth's atmosphere the "first heaven?"  Also, it seems few Bible students notice that creative days one through three, each prepare a space in which God places His creation on days four through six:  Universe - Sun, Moon, Stars; Atmosphere - fowls of the air and water life; Land - land animals and mankind.

IN THE BEGINNING, JESUS!

Perhaps a more significant fact that these, it that Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God, before He was begotten in human form, actually is the agent of Creation.  Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created...."  So, if God created all that there is, how is it that Jesus is the Creator?  Because the Word of God, the Holy Bible declares Him to be!

John 1:1-3, 10, 14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. . . . He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Colossians 1:13-17Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:  in Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn (first fruit; first to be Resurrected from the dead - see 1 Corinthians 15:20-23) of every creature:  for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:  and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Hebrews 1:1-3God, who at sundry (various) times and in divers manners (differing ways) spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high....

BECAUSE GOD IS OMNISCIENT,
JESUS KNEW HIS CREATION
WOULD CRUCIFY HIM!
AND YET, HE LOVED YOU AND ME
SO MUCH THAT HE CREATED US ANYWAY!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OUR
RESPONSE SHOULD BE TO GOD?

SERVE AND WORSHIP HIM
ON CHRISTMAS AND EVERY DAY!
