THIS PASSAGE WAS WRITTEN TO OFFER SALVATION TO ALL!

ROMANS 10:1-13

ALL SCRIPTURE IS BASED UPON THE KING JAMES VERSION AS I
UNDERSTAND IT; AND I HAVE BASED MY UNDERSTANDING ON
HOW THIS TEXT HARMONIZES WITH THE REST OF GOD'S WORD!

[1] Brethren,* my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
[2] For I bear them witness that they have a zeal of God, but not according to God's Word.
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not humbly accepted the gift of righteousness offered to them by God.
[4] For Christ is the end of the Law* for righteousness to everyone who believes in Him.
[5] For Moses described the righteousness which comes by obedience to the Law, That the one who does those things shall live by them.
[6] But the righteousness which comes by faith speaks on this wise . . . .
[9] IF you have publicly confess with your mouth your faith in the Lord Jesus, and have truly believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved.
[10] For with the heart a man believes and is declared by God to be righteous;* and with the mouth, a public confession of his faith in Him results in his salvation.
[11] For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes in Him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile:  for the same Lord is rich in mercy and grace unto all who call upon Him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

* NOTES:

As can be seen by the pronouns in verses 1-3,
this chapter is not written to Israel only,
but is written to everyone:  to Jews and to Gentiles!

*Verse 1:  "Brethren" - Romans 1:1, 7 - From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God . . . . To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

*Verse 4:  "the end of the Law" - Galatians 3:24-26 - The Law was our school-master to point us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.  But after faith is come, we are no longer under a school-master.  For we are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are we saved through faith; and not of ourselves:  salvation it is the gift of God:  it is not of works, so that no man can boast.

*Verse 10:  "declared by God to be righteous" - Romans 4:2-3 - For if Abraham were made right with God by his works, he would receive glory; but not before God.  For what does the Scripture say?  Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  2 Corinthians 5:21For His heavenly Father sent Jesus to pay for our sin; Jesus had no sin of His own; so that we might be made the righteousness of God by faith in Him.
