APOSTLES WERE TO MAKE DISCIPLES - DISCIPLES ARE TO SHARE THE GOSPEL!

CHRIST'S INSTRUCTIONS TO HIS APOSTLES

Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

1)  "teach all nations" - from the Greek μαθητεύω (mathēteuō), meaning "to make disciples."  Therefore, the message they were to "teach" had to be the Gospel, for only the Gospel message has the "power of God unto salvation"
Romans 1:16 - "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
2)  "baptizing them" - from the Greek βαπτίζω (baptizō), meaning "to immerse or submerge."
Baptism follows salvation - examples"
Acts 8:12 - "But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women."
Acts 8:34-38 - And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, "I pray thee, of whom does the prophet speak?  Of himself, or of some other man?"  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, "See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?"  And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may."  And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."  And he commanded the chariot to stand still:  and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
       See also:  Acts 2:41; 18:8!
3)  "teaching them to observe" - from the Greek διδάσκω (didaskō), meaning "to instruct disciples."
Ephesians 4:10-12, 20-21 - "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ....But you have not so learned Christ; if so be that you have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus...."
       See also:  Colossians 1:28; 2:7; 2 Thessalonians 2:15; 2 Timothy 2:2!
4)  "end of the world" - from the Greek αἰών (aiōn), meaning "an age; a set period of time."  Here it refers to the Church Age, from the birth of the Church at Pentecost (Acts 2), until the Church is removed by Christ at the Rapture (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Ephesians 3:21 - "Unto Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen."
See also:  Ephesians 2:7; Colossians 1:26!

THE LOCAL CHURCH IS THE PLACE TO TRAIN DISCIPLES.
ALL DISCIPLES ARE TO SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH OTHERS.
