DON'T LET THE NEWS TAKE AWAY YOUR JOY!

Matthew 2:1-2, 9-10 - "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews?  For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him....When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the Young Child was.  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."

Matthew 28:5-8 - "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye:  for I know that ye seek Jesus, Who was crucified.  He is not here:  for He is risen, as He said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him:  lo, I have told you.  And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy;  and did run to bring His disciples word."

Acts 13:52 - "And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost."

Romans 5:8-11 - "But God (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom we have now received the atonement."

Romans 15:10-13 - "And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with His people.  And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud Him, all ye people.  And again, (Isaiah) saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust.  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."

Galatians 5:22-23 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

1 Peter 1:3-9 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  Whom having not seen, ye love; in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

1 John 1:1-4 - "(He Who) was from the beginning, (Whom) we have heard, (Whom) we have seen with our eyes, (Whom) we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen (Him), and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, (Who) was with the Father, and was manifested unto us); (He Whom) we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us:  and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full."
