JESUS PAID FOR OUR SINS - SALVATION IS A GIFT

THE RELIGIOUS WANT TO EARN THEIR SALVATION

Matthew 19:16 - "And, behold, one came and said unto Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"

Mark 10:17 - "And when He was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"

Luke 10:25 - "And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted Him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

Luke 18:18 - "And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

John 6:28 - "Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

ETERNAL LIFE CANNOT BE EARNED; IT IS A GIFT FROM GOD

John 6:29 - "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He hath sent."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 10:3 - "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:5-7 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Whom He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;  that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

1 John 5:11-13 - "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life....."

WHEN WE BELIEVE WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS ABOUT JESUS,

AND WE PUT OUR FAITH IN HIM, WE ARE BORN AGAIN!
