THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF JESUS

Matthew 3:16 - "And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:  and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him...."

Matthew 12:28 - "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you."

Luke 4:1, 14, 18-19 - "And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness....And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about....The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

John 1:32-33 - "And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.  And I knew Him not:  but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon Whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He Who baptizeth with the Holy Ghost."

John 3:34 - "For He Whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:  for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him."

John 15:26 - "But when the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, Who proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me...."

Romans 8:2 - "For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

1 Timothy 3:16 - "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

1 Peter 3:18-19 - "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:  by Whom also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison...."

Revelation 19:10 - "And I fell at his feet to worship him.  And he said unto me, See thou do it not:  I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus:  worship God:  for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy."
