TO DECLARE FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, IS TO "CONFESS CHRIST!"
Matthew 10:32-33 - Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father Who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father Who is in heaven.
Luke 12:8-9 - Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: but he that denies Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
John 9:21-23 - But by what means does he now see, we do not know; or who has opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that He was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore his parents said, He is of age; ask him.
John 12:42-43 - Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Acts 24:13-14 - Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. But this I confess unto you, that after The Way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets.
[Note: "The Way" - see Mark 12:14; John 14:6; Acts 16:17; 18:25; etc.]
Romans 10:9-10 - That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 15:8-9 - Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess You among the Gentiles, and sing unto Your name.
Philippians 2:5-11 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1 John 2:4, 15 - Hereby you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God....Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.
