A LIST OF THE KEY EVENTS FROM THE CROSS TO THE CROWN!

FROM HIS CROSS  TO HIS KINGDOM

Here is a brief listing of the key events beginning with the death of Christ:

  1. The Crucifixion (Mt. 27; Mk. 15; Lk. 23; Jn. 19; 1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21; Rom. 5:8; 1 Pet. 3:18).

  2. The Resurrection of Christ (Mt. 28; Mk. 16; Lk. 24; Jn. 20; 1 Cor. 15:4; Rom. 1:4).

  3. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost (Jn. 14:17; Acts 2). This marks the birthday of the Church, which is the body of Christ. 

  4. The present Church Age during which time Jesus Christ is building HIS Church (Mt. 16:18); a calling out of a people for His Name (Acts 15:14).

  5. The time when the Lord Jesus Christ will come down from heaven and the Church will be "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air (Jn, 14:1-3; 1 Th. 4:13-18).  This event is called the RAPTURE of the Church and it marks the end of the Church Age. 

  6. The beginning of the Tribulation; the beginning of Daniel's 70th week. This seven year period will begin when a covenant (treaty) is confirmed between Antichrist and the nation Israel (Jer. 30:7; Dan. 9:27).

  7. In the exact middle of this seven year period, the covenant will be broken and the Antichrist, the "man of sin" will become the ruler of the world.  He will demand that all people worship him as God (Dan. 9:27; Mt. 24:15-21; 2 Th. 2:3-4). 

  8. Jesus referred to these last 3½ years as a time of "GREAT TRIBULATION" (Mt.24:21) such as the world has never known.  This will be a time of great Satanic activity (Rev. 12:7-12) and, with the exception of Israel, the entire world will submit to him as an absolute dictator (Rev. 13:1-10).

  9. The Tribulation will end when Jesus Christ returns to earth in power and great glory (Mt. 24:29-30; Rev. 19:11-16).

10. Jesus Christ will establish His kingdom on earth.  This is often called the "MILLENNIAL KINGDOM" because it will last for 1000 years (Rev. 20).

Note:  The chronological sequence of these Bible events is found in the study of Daniel 9:24-27; Matthew 24; and Revelation 1:19 (followed by the rest of Revelation).
