FAILURE TO BELIEVE GOD RESULTS IN SIN!

GOD SAID:

Genesis 2:16-17 - And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it:  for in the day that you eat thereof, you shalt surely die.

SATAN SAID: 

Genesis 3:1, 4-5 - Now the serpent . . . said unto the woman, Yea, has God said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? - - - And the serpent said unto the woman, You shall not surely die:  for God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

BELIEVING GOD RESULTS IN REPENTANCE!

Jonah 3:4-10 - And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.  So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.  For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.  And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing:  let them not feed, nor drink water:  but let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God:  yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.  Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from His fierce anger, that we perish not?  And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would do unto them; and He did it not.

BELIEVING GOD RESULTS IN SALVATION!

John 3:14-18 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.  He that believes on Him is not condemned:  but He that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.

Acts 16:29-34 - Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and (your household).  And they spoke unto him the Word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.  And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his (household), straightway.  And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his (household).

Romans 10:9-13 - That if you shall confess with thy mouth (that you have faith in) the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.  For there is no difference between the Jew and the (Gentile):  for the same Lord over all is rich unto all who call upon Him.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

BELIEVING GOD RESULTS IN BECOMING RIGHTEOUS!

Romans 3:20-22 - Therefore by the deeds of the Law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight:  for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.  But now the righteousness of God (apart from) the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe....

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:  we pray you in Christ's stead, be reconciled to God.  For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin;  that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

James 2:23 - And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:  and he was called the Friend of God.

YOU HAVE A CHOICE!  

YOU CAN BELIEVE CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD, 

OR ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD!  

YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY DEPENDS ON YOUR CHOICE! 

BUT SAVING FAITH COMES BY HEARING, 

AND BELIEVING THE WORD OF GOD!
