ISRAEL'S MESSIAH:  THE SON OF DAVID!

Isaiah 9:1-2, 6-7 - Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first He lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light:  they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. - - - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon His shoulder:  and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

MATTHEW IDENTIFIED THE SON OF DAVID!

Matthew 1:1, 20 - The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham. - - - But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou Son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:  for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 9:27 - And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed Him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

Matthew 15:22 - And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Matthew 20:30-31 - And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Thou Son of David.  And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace:  but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Thou Son of David.

Matthew 21:9, 15-16 - And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David:  Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. - - - And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, and said unto Him, Hear Thou what these say?  And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise?
Matthew 22:42-46 - While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ?  Whose son is He?  They say unto Him, The Son of David.  He said unto them, How then does David in spirit call Him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?  If David then call Him Lord, how is He his son?  And no man was able to answer Him a word, neither dared any man from that day forth ask Him any more questions.

ISRAEL'S MESSIAH:  JESUS CHRIST!

John 1:1-14 -  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.  In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.  That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.  He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Revelation 22:16 - I, Jesus, have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.  I AM THE ROOT AND OFFSPRING OF DAVID, and The Bright and Morning Star.
