CHRISTIAN WORKS: EVIDENCE OF SALVATION!
Ephesians 2:1-10 - And you has He quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation (our behavior; our way of thinking) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us (made us alive) together with Christ, (by grace you are saved); and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
Philippians 1:3-6; 2:13 - I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the Gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. - - - For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Titus 2:11-14 - For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
James 2:14-20 - What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? Can faith save him (can that kind of faith save him)? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? Even so faith, if it has not (the evidence of) works, is dead (useless), being alone. Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
RELIGIOUS WORKS CAN NOT SAVE US, BUT IF WE
ARE SAVED, WE LONG TO DO GOD'S WORK!
