FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION, SALVATION IS BY FAITH ALONE!

THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION BEFORE PAUL'S WRITINGS!

Scottie Clarke, a well known and beloved video-maker on Bible Prophecy, has been consistently proclaiming that the way to salvation was not preached until the writings of the Apostle Paul.  While I agree with most of what he teaches, I adamantly disagree with him on this point.  From the symbolism of animal sacrifice for sin seen in God's clothing Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis, to the Gospel of John with over forty verses in which the word "believe" appears, salvation is clearly taught as the result of faith in Almighty God!  Here are but a few examples:

Genesis 15:6And he (Abram) believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness.

John 1:12-13But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:15-16, 18, 36 -  That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - - - He that believes in Him is not condemned:  but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - - - He that believes in the Son has everlasting life:  and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

John 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears My Word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 6:35, 47 - And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:  he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes in Me shall never thirst. - - - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes in Me has everlasting life.

John 9:35-38Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Do you believe in the Son of GodHe answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I might believe in HimAnd Jesus said unto him, You have both seen Him, and it is He that talks with you.  And he said, Lord, I believe.  And he worshipped Him.

John 11:25-27 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  and whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?  She said unto Him, Yea, Lord:  I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, Who should come into the world.

John 14:1Let not your heart be troubled:  you believe in God, believe also in Me.

John 20:26-29And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them:  then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  Then said He to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side:  and be not faithless, but believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my GodJesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed:  blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe.

1 John 5:13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may (continue to) believe on the name of the Son of God.
