SIGNS THAT THE END IS NEAR!
Matthew 24:1-8 - And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to show Him (to brag about) the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down (Herod's temple was destroyed by Rome in A.D. 70). And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world (aion - Greek meaning a period of time, an age)? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ (many will claim to be My followers, saying I, Jesus, am the Christ - See Mt. 24:11; and Jn. 5:43 below); and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation (race against race - ethnos - Greek word from which we get ethnic group), and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
[Note: Matthew 24:11 - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. John 5:43 - I am come in My Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.]
THE SIGN OF MAN'S HATRED FOR GOD!
Romans 1:22, 29-32 - Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools - - - God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 - This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
THE SIGN OF A WORLDWIDE HATRED OF ISRAEL!
Ezekiel 38:14-18 - Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when My people of Israel dwells safely, shalt thou not know it? And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: and thou shalt come up against My people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against My land, that the heathen may know Me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by My servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that My fury shall come up in My face.
