SO YOU WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN: HERE'S HOW!

RIGHTEOUS:  GODLY, GOOD, HOLY, HONEST, JUST, PERFECT, PURE! 

Ezra 9:15 - O LORD God of Israel, You are righteous....

Psalm 7:9, 17 - Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just:  for the righteous God tries the hearts and reins. - - - I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Daniel 9:14 - Therefore has the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us:  for the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He does....

MAN'S CONDITION:  UNRIGHTEOUS!

Isaiah 64:6 - We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:10, 23 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. - - - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

THE ONLY WAY TO BECOME RIGHTEOUS:  BELIEVE GOD!

Genesis 15:6 - And he (Abraham - see also Rom. 4:3; Gal. 3:6; Jam. 2:23) believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness.

Matthew 6:33 - Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness....

Romans 3:21-26 - But now the righteousness of God without (apart from) the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all those who believe:  for there is no difference:  for all have sinned, and come short of the glory (the righteousness) of God; being justified (declared righteous) freely by His grace (unearnable favor) through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation (a full payment) through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time His righteousness:  that He might be (seen as) just, and the justifier of those who believe in Jesus.
