ETERNAL LIFE: THE GIFT THAT CANNOT BE EARNED!

1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-6

THE GOSPEL:  THE MESSAGE THAT SAVES! 

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel (the good news, that when believed, has the power of God to save lost souls - see Acts 16:31; Romans 1:16) which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved . . . . for I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  and that He was seen of Cephas (by Peter), then of the twelve (by all "the twelve"):  after that, He was seen of above (by more than) five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present (are still living today), but some are fallen asleep (some have died).

SALVATION IS A GIFT OFFERED TO BELIEVERS! 

John 1:11-13 - He came unto His own (the Jews), and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on His name:  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Galatians 1:3-5 - Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:  to Whom be glory forever and ever.  Amen.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace (an unearned gift) are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.

1 Timothy 2:3-6 - For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will (Whose will it is to) have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified (revealed - see Hebrews 1:1) in due time.

Titus 2:13-14 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 John 5:10-11 - He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself:  he that believes not God has made Him (called Him) a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of His Son.  And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
