HIS DISCIPLES' GOAL IS TO OBEY HIM!

NATURE OBEYED JESUS!

Matthew 8:26-27 - And He said unto them, Why are you fearful, you of little faith?  Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!

THE LAWS OF NATURE YIELDED TO JESUS!

Matthew 14:25 - And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

John 2:7-8 - Jesus said unto them, Fill the water pots with water.  And they filled them up to the brim.  And He said unto them, Draw out now the wine and take it unto the governor of the feast.  And they obeyed Him.

John 12:1, 17 - Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom He raised from the dead. - - - The people therefore who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

DEMONIC SPIRITS OBEYED JESUS!

Mark 1:25-27 - And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, and come out of him.  And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.  And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this?  What new doctrine is this?  For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they do obey Him.

HIS APOSTLES OBEYED JESUS!

Acts 5:29 - Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.  [Note:  Jesus is God manifest in the flesh (Jn. 1:1; 20:28; 1 Tim. 3:16)!]

DO YOU, WHO CLAIM TO BE HIS DISCIPLES, OBEY JESUS?

Luke 6:46 - And why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

John 6:28-29 - Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?   Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Me Whom the Father has sent.

John 8:31 - Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, then are you my disciples indeed.

John 13:35 - By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another.

James 2:18 - Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works:  show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
