ALL FOUR GOSPELS DECLARE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF MAN!
Note: Yesterday's post focused upon Jesus Christ being the Son of God; today, I want to explain what the title "the Son of man" means, and suggest why Jesus identified Himself as such.
Matthew 1:1, 16 - The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. - - - And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom (of Mary, not Joseph) was born Jesus, Who is called Christ.
Matthew 16:13, 16-17 - When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I, the Son of man, am? - - - And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father Who is in heaven.
Mark 2:27-28 - And He said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.
Mark 6:3 - Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us? And they were offended at Him.
Mark 8:31 - And He began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Mark 14:61-62 - But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, and said unto Him, Art Thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed (of God)? And Jesus said, I AM: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Luke 1:31-32 - And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call His name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest (of God): and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David....
Luke 3:22-23, 31, 34 - And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art My Beloved Son; in Thee I am well pleased. And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, who was the son of Heli - - - who was the son of David - - - Who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham....
Luke 18:31-33 - Then He took unto Him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For He (I) shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spit upon: and they shall scourge Him (Me), and put Him (Me) to death: and the third day He (I) shall rise again.
John 8:28 - Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I AM (the word "he" does not appear in the Greek text), and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father hath taught Me, I speak these things.

John 1:1, 14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - - - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Acts 7:55-56 - But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
Romans 1:3 - Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, Who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh....
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Philippians 2:5-8 - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Hebrews 2:14-17 - Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
JESUS, BECOMING THE SON OF MAN, IDENTIFIED WITH MANKIND!
HE WAS FROM THE LINEAGE OF ABRAHAM AND DAVID!
HE WAS NOT JOSEPH'S SON, BUT MARY'S!
HE DIED FOR THE SINS OF MANKIND!
HE AROSE FROM THE GRAVE, AND IS NOW IN HEAVEN!
HE IS COMING AGAIN TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD!
