BECAUSE GOD IS HOLY, HIS MERCY MUST PRECEDE HIS GRACE!

MERCY:  NOT RECEIVING WHAT WE DESERVE!

Because we are all sinners, and deserving of death, God showed His love toward us by sending His Only Begotten Son to die in our place!  

1 Chronicles 16:34 - "O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever."

Psalm 100:5 - "For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations."

Psalm 106:1 - "Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good:  for His mercy endures forever."

Luke 1:46-50 - "And Mary said, My soul does magnify the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.  For He has regarded the low estate of His handmaiden:  for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.  For He that is mighty has done to me great things; and holy is His name.  And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation."

Romans 15:8-9 - "Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the (Jews) for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:  and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name."

Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

GRACE:  UNMERITED FAVOR; RECEIVING WHAT WE DO NOT DESERVE!

Because God's mercy has reconciled man to Himself, our Holy God remains just when He offers believers the free gift of eternal life!  

Genesis 6:8 - "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."

Genesis 19:19 - "Behold now, Thy servant (Lot) hath found grace in Thy sight, and Thou hast magnified Thy mercy, which Thou hast showed unto me in saving my life...."

Exodus 33:17 - "And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken:  for thou hast found grace in My sight, and I know thee by name."

John 1:14, 17 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of The Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth....For the Law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."

Acts 15:11 - "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they."

Romans 3:22-24 - "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:  for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."

Titus 3:7 - "That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

GOD'S MERCY AND GRACE HAVE BEEN OFFERED FREELY TO ALL WHO BELIEVE JESUS DIED FOR THEIR SINS, THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD AS THE PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES SAID WOULD HAPPEN!
